Ambassador met the Minister of Information and National Orientation of the Federal Republic of Nigeria

On October 4, 2023, the Ambassador of the Republic of Belarus to Nigeria Mr. Vyacheslav Bril met the Minister of Information and National Orientation of the Federal Republic of Nigeria Mr. Muhammed Idris.

During the meeting, a brief presentation of the economic potential of the Republic of Belarus was held. Ambassador presented promising areas of bilateral cooperation in the field of agriculture and industry, education and medicine, as well as interaction within international organizations.

The Belarusian side informed about the official position on food security issues in the context of restrictions on trade in potash fertilizers, sanctions pressure, as well as communication in terms of the International Labor Organization and the UN Human Rights Council.

The Nigerian side showed the real interest in developing mutually beneficial cooperation. At the same time, the importance of disseminating reliable information about the state and prospects of interaction at the bilateral and international levels was noted.
