Trade and economic cooperation

Cameroon ranks among the leading countries in Central Africa in terms of economic development. The socio-economic situation remains stable. The dependence of budget revenues on the results of the extractive industry continues to influence the country's economy.

Positive dynamics of the economic growth rate are predicted. In 2024, GDP amounted to $54.4 billion ($1,867 per capita), or 103.5% of the 2023 level. Taking into account the growth of the agricultural and industrial sectors, Cameroon's GDP, according to the IMF, for 2025 is $60.6 billion (103.7% of the 2024 level). GDP structure: services — 52.2%, industry — 24.5%, agriculture — 16.3%, other industries — 7%.

From the point of view of the development of bilateral trade and economic relations, cooperation in the field of agriculture, including the supply of agricultural machinery, dairy products and mineral fertilizers to Cameroon, is promising. Belarusian companies are encouraged to pursue a more active marketing policy to promote their products in the Cameroon market and participate in international exhibitions held in the country. Thus, organizing a Belarusian exhibit at the international exhibitions “SIALY” and “PROMOTE” (Yaoundé, June), with thematic presentations of Belarusian companies, will allow for concrete practical steps to enter the Central African market.
