On the visit of the Commandant-General of Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps to Belarus
19.04.2019From 15 to 19 April 2019, the delegation of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defenсe Corps led by the Commandant-General A.G. Muhammadu, is visiting Minsk. The visit was organized by the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Belarus with the assistance of the Embassy of Belarus in Nigeria.
On April 16, the Nigerian delegation visited the University of Civil Protection of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, where they got acquainted with Belarusian experience of training of personal for rescue services, commended academic and material basis of the university and organization of the educational process, studied samples of battle dress and equipment.
On April 17, representatives of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps visited the Republican Emergency Management and Response Center of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Belarus, where a working meeting of the delegation with the Minister of Emergency Situations of Belarus Vladimir Vaschenko was held. The guests also got acquainted with the technical equipment and capacity of the Center.
On April 18, the Nigerian delegation visited Minsk Tractor Works, where they got acquainted with the samples of existing products.
During the visit, the sides discussed the development of international cooperation between the two countries and services in a number of areas, such as stuff training, research activities, logistic support of emergency services, and in particular, the possibility of supplying to Nigeria machinery and equipment produced in Belarus.
