Honorary Consulate of the Republic of Belarus was opened in the Republic of Cameroon

On January 13, 2021 the official inauguration ceremony of the Honorary Consul of the Republic of Belarus in the Republic of Cameroon Igor Kolesnikov and the opening of the Office of the Honorary Consul took place in Douala.

For reference:
Kolesnikov Igor Vasilievich is a citizen of the Republic of Belarus, trained as a medical doctor. He has been living in Cameroon since 1995. Currently, he is the C.E.O. of GROUP FORM S.A.R.L (Cameroon) which sells and services medical equipment in Cameroon. He is also a practicing surgeon in a private clinic in Douala. He is well-known in the business circles of Cameroon.


During the ceremony, the Governor of the Littoral Region of Cameroon Samuel Diboua handed over to the Honorary Consul of the Republic of Belarus consular exequatur. The event was also attended by the representatives of the Ministry of external relations of Cameroon and the Embassy of Belarus in Nigeria, executive and judicial authorities, business circles, and media.



On 14 January the Honorary Consul Igor Kolesnikov and the representative of the Embassy of Belarus in Nigeria met the Governor of the Littoral Region of Cameroon Samuel Diboua. During the meeting the parties discussed promising areas of cooperation between Belarus and Cameroon. The Governor expressed his interest in visiting Belarus to become familier with its economic potential.
